Turkmenistan and Afghanistan considers increasing capacity of substation in Herat

The Head of International Energy Projects of Turkmenistan, Murad Artykov, met with the leadership of the Afghan energy corporation DABS to discuss the implementation of a plan to increase the capacity of the Nur al-Jihad substation, Turkmenportal.com reporrts.

It is noted that, thanks to Turkmen supplies in the northwest region of Afghanistan, issues of energy supply have been resolved, which will have a positive impact on the growth of industrial and agricultural production in the neighboring country.

Representatives of the Afghan company approached the Turkmen side to explore opportunities for adjustments and refinements to the proposals regarding the substation project for the timely completion of the corresponding work. It is envisaged to double the capacity from 110 kilovolts to 220 kilovolts.
