Turkmenistan and Afghanistan discussed financial, trade and tax issues

In the Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan, the first round of negotiations took place between representatives of the financial sectors of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, Eurasia today reports.

The negotiations focused on preventing double taxation and resolving other customs issues.

After discussions and consideration of the initial draft, both sides signed a preliminary agreement on taxation.

It emphasizes the prevention of double taxation with the aim of improving economic and trade relations, increasing investments, fostering mutual cooperation, preventing tax evasion, and facilitating national and international trade.

As a result of the agreement, the initial draft of the tax agreement was accepted.

According to the Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan, the parties have agreed to conduct the next round of negotiations in the near future, with the participation of high-ranking officials from the tax sectors of both countries.
