Turkmenistan and South Korea strengthen trade and economic partnership

The "Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Korea" was signed following negotiations between the foreign ministers of two countries, the MFA of Turkmenistan reports.

The document was signed by the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, Begench Gochmollaev, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Pak Jin.

Before the signing ceremony, the foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea thoroughly discussed priority areas of trade and economic cooperation, including a wide range of joint projects in the fields of industry, energy, digital technologies, environmental protection, and other areas.

Additionally, the following documents were signed:

  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the School of Korean Medicine at Pusan National University of the Republic of Korea and the National Institute of Korean Medicine of the Republic of Korea.
  • Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea for the years 2024-2025.
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev and the Medical College of Korean University.
