Turkmenistan and UN Strengthen Cooperation in Fight against Terrorism

A significant meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Natalia Gherman, Executive Director of the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee. During the meeting, Natalia Gherman was awarded Turkmenistan’s commemorative medal “Magtymguly Pyragy’s 300th Anniversary” and other honorary tokens in recognition of her significant contribution to fostering constructive cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN. Gherman praised Turkmenistan's commitment to regional peace and security, emphasizing the country’s efforts in combating terrorism.

Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reaffirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to continue close collaboration with the UN to address pressing transnational challenges. Both parties confirmed their commitment to strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations.
