Turkmenistan increased purchases of mineral raw materials from EU countries

Turkmenistan increased the import of minerals from the Eurozone countries from 5.11 million euros last year's six month to 7.64 million euros during the six month of 2023, Orient.tm reports, citing the European Bureau of Statistics.

The overall rate of purchases of this type of product increased by 33.1% in annual terms. The jump in purchases was recorded in the last month of the period under review, in June. Then the Turkmen side purchased products worth more than half a million euros.

The overall growth rate of Turkmen imports from the Eurozone countries is about 4%. The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the EU for the first five months of the year amounted to 221.5 million euros, which is more than 10 million more than last year.

In general, this mark has been steadily growing since 2021, when the growth in trade reached almost 26%.
