Turkmenistan increases imports of goods from Iran

Over the first nine months of the current Solar Hijri year (March 20 – December 20, 2024, in Iran), Iran's non-oil exports to Turkmenistan increased by 20.3% in value and 12.9% in weight compared to the same period last year (March 21 – December 21, 2023), Orient.tm reports.

According to data from Iran's Statistics Administration, over nine months, Iran's non-oil exports to Turkmenistan amounted to 1.15 million tons, valued at $404 million.

The statistical data indicate that in the same period last year, Iran’s non-oil exports to Turkmenistan totaled 1.02 million tons, worth approximately $336 million.

The main exports included agricultural and food products, industrial goods, transformers, water conditioners, and petrochemical products.

Over the nine-month period, Iran's total non-oil trade with Turkmenistan reached 1.16 million tons, valued at $420 million, according to the statistics.

According to Iran’s Customs Administration, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year, Iran’s total non-oil exports amounted to 116 million tons, worth $43.1 billion. Over this period, Iran's non-oil exports increased by 18% in value and 13.8% in weight compared to the same period last year.
