President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited companies from the United Arab Emirates to actively participate in projects in the energy and gas chemical industries of Turkmenistan.

Berdimuhamedov announced this during his speech at the Turkmenistan-United Arab Emirates business forum, which took place in Abu Dhabi, business.com.tm reports.

The Turkmen President noted that Dragon Oil is successfully working in the oil industry of Turkmenistan. He also stated that Turkmenistan considers the UAE and its business circles as the most promising partners for his country.

“I believe that we have come to the point where we need really large-scale, development-oriented joint projects that can become the driving force behind economic cooperation and open up new opportunities for attracting investment, creating mixed industries, creating a modern infrastructure system, and give impetus to start long-term, strategic, integrated Turkmen-Emirati cooperation. To do this, we are ready to create favorable legal and organizational conditions, provide investors with the necessary support in the form of tax, customs, visa, insurance and other benefits,” the head of Turkmenistan emphasized.

A number of cooperation documents were signed during the forum. Among them is the Agreement between the State Electricity Corporation "Türkmenenergo" of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and the company "Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company - Masdar" on cooperation in the development of renewable energy projects in Turkmenistan with a total installed capacity of 100 MWt, as well as an agreement on cooperation between the State Bank foreign economic activity of Turkmenistan and the First Bank of Abu Dhabi.

The business forum was held as part of President Berdimuhamedov's two-day official visit to the UAE, which began on November 21.
