The Medical Congress of Central Asian Countries and the Cooperation Council of Arab States of the Gulf proposed to be held in Ashgabat in 2025, as suggested by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. He made this announcement while speaking at the first summit of Central Asian and Persian Gulf states held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Among the current tasks discussed was the development of cooperation in medicine and healthcare, and several important international initiatives in this field were put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, said the President of Turkmenistan.
"To practically implement these initiatives and activate contacts in medical diplomacy, we propose to hold the Medical Congress of Central Asian Countries and the Cooperation Council of the Gulf in Ashgabat in 2025," emphasized Berdimuhamedov.
The Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf (CCASG) was established in 1981, and its member countries include the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the current summit, held under the chairmanship of the Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the leaders of the member states of the Council and Central Asian countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as the Secretary-General of the CCASG, participated.
