Turkmen state bodies have signed 15 memoranda of understanding with 14 companies from 10 countries at the CIET-2026 international conference and exhibition in Ashgabat, reported Turkmenportal.com.

The event, held on November 3–5, focuses on the construction, industrial, chemical and energy sectors and has brought together more than 800 delegates from 60 countries.

The agreements cover a wide range of sectors:

  • Construction: the Ministry of Construction and Architecture signed with Britain’s Zaha Hadid Architects on urban planning, with Kazakhstan’s FALTEC on earthquake-resistant construction, and with Switzerland’s Leica Geosystems.
  • Industry: five agreements with German companies VEM Sachsenwerk, NTS Service, Refratechnik Cement and Grenzebach BSH, and with China’s Sany.
  • Energy: agreements with China’s TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group and Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation.
  • Chemicals: the Türkmenhimiýa state concern signed with Denmark’s Topsoe on the reliable operation of the gas-to-gasoline plant in Ahal and the Garabogazkarbamid urea plant, and with South Korea’s Samsung E&A on developing the chemical industry.

Malaysia’s Bitdeer signed a joint agreement with the ministries of finance, energy and communications, and Slovakia’s Betamont signed with the Ministry of Highways.

The memoranda reflect Ashgabat’s effort to attract foreign technology to diversify its gas-dependent economy.
