A delegation from the Wholesale Distribution Center of Aktau city, Mangystau Region, Kazakhstan, visited Turkmenistan to strengthen trade ties in the agricultural sector. This was reported by Business Turkmenistan on May 27, citing the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Turkmenistan.
The visit aimed to establish business contacts between Kazakh and Turkmen companies in the agro-industrial sector.
The Kazakh delegation was hosted by Turkmen agro-industrial enterprises Yigit, Mahmal, and Miwe, which specialize in growing, processing, and storing fruits and vegetables.
The guests toured production facilities and examined various crops, including apples, pears, persimmons, nectarines, plums, peaches, almonds, as well as tomato, onion, and other vegetable fields.
The two sides reached an agreement on seasonal supplies of Turkmen agricultural products to the Wholesale Distribution Center in Aktau. Turkmen entrepreneurs were also invited to Kazakhstan for a closer look at the logistics and distribution systems of the center.
