As part of the “National Socio-Economic Development and Investment Program for 2025,” Turkmenistan will allocate 200 million manats (approximately $60 million at the official exchange rate) to support the growth of its textile industry, reports business.com.tm.
The funds will be directed toward the construction of new industrial facilities and production capacities.
Turkmenistan’s textile sector continues to demonstrate steady growth with a strong export orientation. Local factories are increasingly equipped with modern technologies and automated production lines sourced from leading countries such as Belgium, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Japan. Many enterprises are certified according to international standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
Products under domestic brands such as Gala, Ýeňiş, Jeýtun, and Mäne are successfully sold on both domestic and international markets.
One major upcoming project includes the construction of a modern textile complex in the Dashoguz region. The facility will specialize in the production of cotton yarn, terry and cotton fabrics, as well as finished garments. The new enterprise is expected to contribute to the production of eco-friendly, import-substituting textiles and create additional jobs, thereby strengthening the region’s export potential.
The state is also actively promoting digital commerce through Dokma, an official e-commerce platform that provides online access to hundreds of textile and footwear products.
By combining tradition, innovation, and sustainability, Turkmenistan is solidifying its position in the global textile market.
