The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized in his greetings its exceptional importance for intensifying the pace of industrialization of Turkmenistan, diversifying its economy, attracting investments in the joint development of oil and gas fields, and implementing priority programs to increase production of products in demand on the world market, reports Ritmeuraisa.org.
The greeting, among other things, gives a clear idea of the priority projects of Turkmenistan in the oil and gas sector.
“…We are implementing a number of major projects, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline,” the greeting says. – Today, the laying of a transnational gas pipeline continues at an accelerated pace… The implementation of this ambitious plan will have a significant positive impact on the economies of all countries in the region.
Another most ambitious project is the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline for the export of Turkmen "blue" fuel to Europe.
Along with traditional methods of transportation, great attention is paid to the processing industry as a factor in the diversification of natural gas supplies ... Turkmenistan has the largest production facilities not only in the region, but also in the world - a polymer plant in Kiyanly and a plant for the production of gasoline from gas in Akhal. Our country has great prospects in these areas.
The phased development of the giant Galkynyş gas store continues at an increasing pace, and in this matter we attach particular importance to foreign investment. One of the main tasks is also the development of licensed blocks of the Turkmen section of the Caspian Sea at the expense of foreign capital on the basis of the Production Sharing Agreement.”
For the implementation of these projects, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized, the country has a favorable investment climate in terms of financial, economic and legislative aspects.
