The national economy of Turkmenistan this year is showing a stable development dynamic, according to reports from deputy prime ministers presented at a government meeting, Orient.tm reports.
This year, the agro-industrial complex demonstrated an overall production growth rate of 112.9%. Among sectoral indicators, the water management sector stands out with a growth rate of 136.4%. The transport and communications complex also showed strong performance, with an overall growth rate of works and services reaching 114%.
The leading growth within this sector was recorded in industries under the Ministry of Communications, which achieved a rate of 120.1%, reflecting the country’s active digitalization and telecommunication development—key elements of its technological progress.
The trade and textile industries also reported achievements indicating strengthening export positions: the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations increased its trade turnover by 118.4%; the Ministry of Textile Industry recorded a production growth of cotton fabrics by 120.7% and leather goods by 119.6%.
