Unistream stops transfers to and from Tajikistan in dollars and euros and will work only with rubles, unclaimed funds in foreign currency must be collected by customers before September 30. This was reported in the press service of the money transfer system, TASS reports.
“Unistream stops issuing and sending in euros and US dollars to and from Tajikistan. If you previously sent a transfer that was not received for any reason, in euro or dollar currencies from Tajikistan or to Tajikistan, apply for a refund of the transfer by September 30, 2023 to the bank that sent the transfer,” the message says in the Unistream official group on VKontakte.
The message also notes that after September 30, the return of transfers sent in the dollars and euros will not be possible.
On July 20, the US authorities imposed sanctions against five Russian credit institutions, including the Unistream system. At the end of July, the National Bank of Tajikistan reported that transfers through this system are now possible only in rubles.
Unistream is a Russian bank, operator and settlement center of the payment system of the same name, through which money transfers are made in Russia and the CIS countries.
