The Ministry of Investments of Uzbekistan, together with JSC Uzbekneftegaz, signed an investment agreement worth $1 billion with the American company Air Products on the development of a gas processing production complex in the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Uzbek ministry reported.
The agreement was signed by the head of the Ministry of Investments of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, and the head of Air Products, Seifi Gasem.
Thanks to the signed document, it became possible to apply advanced technologies and knowledge in Uzbekistan, Gasem noted. He stressed that the agreement will ensure the production of high-quality and cheap fuel and expressed hope for the development of long-term cooperation, as well as readiness for new opportunities for interaction with Uzbek partners.
As part of the signing ceremony, the benefits of using Air Products' experience in the production of high value-added products such as increased efficiency, reduced production costs, and reduced harmful emissions into the atmosphere were noted.
