On July 4, a container train was sent from China to Uzbekistan along a new multimodal route, according to the information of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, Nova24.uz reports.
A train consisting of 41 wagons loaded with building materials departed from the Chinese city of Langfan.
The distance of the entire journey is about 6,000 kilometers, and the total weight of the cargo is more than 1,000 tons. Estimated travel time is about 12 days.
The new land route is the shortest and fastest way to deliver goods from China to Uzbekistan.
Transportation along the new multimodal corridor will be carried out from the point of departure by rail to Kashgar. Further, by road, the goods will be delivered to the Kyrgyz Osh, and from there to Tashkent, the goods will be delivered by rail as part of a freight train.
Earlier it was reported that China paved a new path to Uzbekistan. Goods will cross two countries and thousands of kilometers across the ocean.
