Uzbekistan and Sweden discuss cooperation in OSCE

The delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by the first deputy chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis ( Parliament of Uzbekistan) Sodik Safoev, met in Stockholm with the chairman of the Riksdag group in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Bjorn Soder, and his deputy, Johan Buser, Dunyo reports.

According to the information, during the talks, the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Oliy Majlis and the Riksdag within the framework of international parliamentary organizations was discussed.

The deputies of the Swedish parliament were informed about the constitutional reform and the upcoming referendum in Uzbekistan, as well as large-scale democratic and socio-economic reforms in the republic.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue close cooperation in developing common positions and approaches on issues related to the activities of the OSCE and its Parliamentary Assembly.

Uzbekistan and Sweden have previously held talks on developing ties in the healthcare sector.
