Uzbekistan become model model for International Labor Organization

Director of the Department of International Labor Standards of the International Labor Organization Korine Varga expressed her gratitude to Uzbekistan for its determination and political will to constructively cooperate with the ILO. She held talks in Geneva with Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, on the sidelines of the 111th session of the International Labor Conference, the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan reports.

Today, the ILO, when building a dialogue with other countries that face similar problems, effectively uses the experience gained as a result of many years of cooperation with Uzbekistan, Varga said.

She added that Uzbekistan is an exemplary model for the ILO, which can become an example for other states, especially from the Central Asian region.

The interlocutors discussed the current level of bilateral relations and prospects for their further development.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation on the ratification of ILO conventions and ensure their implementation.
