Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on the key priorities for the country's automotive industry in 2025, according to his press service.

The presentation outlined measures based on the president's directives to enhance the sector, focusing on increasing automobile production volumes and improving product quality.

It was noted that reducing the production cost of electric vehicles in 2025 could be achieved by localizing 60 components for BYD cars. BYD's management praised the potential of Uzbek enterprises and set a goal to double production through partnerships with regional companies facilitated by the Localization Promotion Center.

Export issues were also discussed. Uzbekistan has exported more than 40,000 car kits to neighboring republics in recent years and aims to increase these volumes.
