Uzbekistan sent 100 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Uzbekistan has sent approximately 100 tons of humanitarian aid to the people affected by the earthquake in neighboring Afghanistan, Podrobno.uz reports.

The aid, consisting of food, tents, and medicines, was delivered by a Boeing 747 cargo plane. Mavlavi Sharofiddin Muslim, a representative of the receiving side, emphasized that the Afghan people will never forget the assistance provided by Uzbekistan in these difficult times.

The cargo includes food items such as flour, wheat, oil, pasta, meat products, rice, sugar, as well as essential medical equipment for providing first aid.

According to the latest data, the death toll from the earthquake in Afghanistan has exceeded 2,440 people. The most severely affected areas were in the Herat province.

According to the local disaster management authority, 13 villages were almost completely destroyed. The number of people affected by the earthquakes has approached 10,000.
