Volume of assimilated investments in fixed capital in Tajikistan increased by 44%

More than 761.4 million somoni ($69.7 million) of investments in fixed assets were used in Tajikistan from all sources of financing in the first month of 2023, which is 44.3% more than the same period in 2022, Avesta reports.

In January 2023, investments in the amount of 506.4 million somoni, or 66.5%, were disbursed for industrial facilities, the Agency on Statistics of Tajikistan reported.

At non-production facilities, investments were disbursed in the amount of 255 million somoni, or 33.5% of the total investment in the country.

459.4 million somoni was disbursed in the construction of electric power facilities. Compared to January 2022, the volume of assimilated investments in the construction of electric power facilities increased by 5.4 times.

In transport and communications, 15.8 million somoni of investments in fixed assets were disbursed.
