The question of activation to construct of the "D" line of the Turkmenistan - Uzbekistan - Tajikistan - Kyrgyzstan - China gas pipeline was discussed in China by Rustam Emomali, the Chairman of the Tajikistan Parliament, the head of the city of Dushanbe, and member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Premier of the State Council of China, He Lifeng, as reported by "Khovar".
The parties emphasized the priority of developing scientific and technical cooperation, innovation, and high technologies, as well as strengthening cooperation to establish production bases based on "green" technologies, including the establishment of electric vehicle, solar panel, and "smart" electric grid production in Tajikistan.
Issues related to the development of trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and China were also discussed, including increasing trade volume, trade, attracting Chinese entrepreneurial sector investments into the Tajik economy, joint projects in the fields of transportation, energy, industry, mineral resource processing, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals, contributing to the formation of production chains and the creation of new jobs in Tajikistan.
Rustam Emomali and He Lifeng considered it necessary to attract modern Chinese investments and technologies into the energy sector's development in Tajikistan, conduct joint scientific research in agriculture, and establish joint enterprises for cultivating and processing environmentally friendly fruits and vegetables, cotton, corn, and wheat, as well as collaboration in the field of electronic commerce.
Within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, the parties highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in the transportation sector, expanding the potential of transit corridors, and in this context, updating the Kulma-Karasu checkpoint, implementing the second phase of the Dushanbe-Kulma highway, and increasing the number of air routes between the two countries.
Rustam Emomali is in China on an official visit and held negotiations with Chinese authorities.
