The heads of energy agencies and power grid operators of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan agreed to synchronize the operation of the Unified Energy System and ensure uninterrupted power supply to the region during the autumn and winter, Khovar.tj reported.

The agreements were reached during the 46th meeting of the Central Asian Electric Power Coordination Council held in Dushanbe. Participants focused on coordinating seasonal power exchange schedules, the efficient use of the hydropower resources of the Nurek and Rogun complexes, and the technical modernization of interstate transmission lines.

The decisions adopted are of strategic importance for the region's macroeconomic stability, defining the conditions for transit, frequency regulation, and mutual electricity supplies. By coordinating the dialogue, Tajikistan is strengthening its status as a key supplier of clean hydropower, while the agreements reached minimize the risk of energy shortages and deepen the integration of the Central Asian countries' power systems.
