Exhibition of Quran Editions and Islamic Calligraphy Opens at Iranian Embassy Cultural Center in Ashgabat

An exhibition featuring various editions and translations of the Quran, as well as samples of Islamic calligraphy, has opened at the cultural center of the Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat. The event is dedicated to the holy month of Ramadan and commemorates the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Turkmenportal.com reports.

The opening ceremony was attended by Iran's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, Mufti of Turkmenistan Yalkap Khojagulyyev, students of Persian language courses, and media representatives. Guests also left condolence messages in a book of sympathy opened at the cultural center.

In his address, the Iranian Ambassador expressed gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for their attention to cultural cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized that such joint events strengthen the spiritual and fraternal ties between Iran and Turkmenistan.

Mufti of Turkmenistan Yalkap Khojagulyyev, for his part, described the holding of the Quran exhibition during Ramadan as a noble tradition and noted the progressive development of Turkmen-Iranian relations of good neighborliness and friendship.

The Iranian Embassy organizes the Quran exhibition in Ashgabat annually during the holy month of Ramadan. Following the official part of the event, an iftar dinner was held for participants.
