The Kazakh atomic company "Kazatomprom" has been granted the right to conduct geological exploration for uranium at the "Northern" section of the Budenovskoye deposit for six years, reports Ritmeurasia.ru.
The Chairman of the Board of "Kazatomprom," Meirzhan Yusupov, noted that this deposit has significant potential due to large uranium reserves. He emphasized that the proximity of the section to other developed deposits and favorable geological conditions would allow for long-term development of the site.
"We are confident that this project will be an important stage in the development of Kazakhstan’s uranium mining industry and will make a significant contribution to creating long-term value for our company," Yusupov added.
According to preliminary estimates, the section has uranium reserves totaling over 100,000 tons.
