Kazakhstan's National Atomic Company, Kazatomprom, has officially denied any business contacts, joint ventures, or contractual obligations with Laramide Resources and Aral Resources. These statements followed the foreign companies' announcements to cease operations in the Chu-Sarysu Basin in southern Kazakhstan, Kaztag.kz reports.

The operator's press service emphasized that the licenses held by these private entities extended exclusively to common solid minerals and did not grant them any legal basis or priority rights to explore for and subsequently mine uranium resources.

Kazatomprom representatives explained that, in accordance with national legislation, the company has historical priority for the development of uranium deposits, and any attempts by third-party organizations to enter this sector are subject to strict regulatory restrictions.

Uranium exploration is a technically complex and multi-stage process requiring unique expertise. Therefore, the failure of an individual private company to implement its plans cannot serve as an objective indicator of the state of the entire industry or the activities of the national operator.

Currently, Kazatomprom is actively working on the planned replenishment of its mineral resource base, adhering to a long-term strategy of rational subsoil use and prioritizing quality over production volume.

Over the past three years, the company's portfolio of new exploration projects has significantly expanded, guaranteeing a stable increase in reserves for decades to come. With the necessary financial resources, qualified personnel, and developed production infrastructure, the company maintains its status as the sole legitimate subsoil user in the country's most promising areas.
