The deadline for voluntary asset declaration has been extended until December 31, 2024. This decision provides citizens of Kyrgyzstan with additional time to submit their declarations, a statement from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan says.

The ministry recommends that citizens take full advantage of the benefits provided by this law.

On June 9, 2023, Kyrgyzstan passed the Law "On Voluntary Legalization and Amnesty of Assets of Individuals." The purpose of the law is to bring citizens' property and income into the legal economic turnover, ensuring their protection and support from the state. The law allows individuals to legalize their assets through voluntary declaration.

The declaration covers assets that existed as of January 1, 2023, including those nominally registered under other persons or located outside of Kyrgyzstan.

Declarants are guaranteed the safety of their assets and protection from prosecution by state authorities for any possible violations committed before the declaration was submitted.

Additionally, the law stipulates that in the case of lost unified tax declarations, previously declared assets can be re-included in the special declaration at the declarant's discretion.

Furthermore, any provisions of legislation that contradict the Law "On Voluntary Legalization and Amnesty of Assets of Individuals" cannot be applied against a person who has submitted a declaration.
