In the first half of 2024, Kyrgyzstan received $192.9 million in sovereign financing from international organizations and agencies. This follows from the report of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD).
The largest amount of financing was directed to infrastructure development through 19 operations. The main creditor for Kyrgyzstan was the World Bank, which provided $114.6 million.
In general, international financial organizations and development agencies approved $2.3 billion in sovereign financing for countries in the Eurasian region. The share of EFSD member states accounted for 72.9% of this amount, or $1.6 billion. Currently, 96 projects are in the active implementation stage.
