In January – April 2024, the budget of Kyrgyzstan received 7 billion 427 million 831 thousand 129 soms (approximately $84.6 million) in import customs duties, with most of it secured by its membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Akchabar reports.
According to available data, import customs duties from EAEU member states amounted to 7.2 billion soms. Compared to the same period last year, the volume increased by 430.4 million soms.
Among these contributions, Russia served as the main source, adding 5.9 billion soms to Kyrgyzstan's budget. It was followed by Kazakhstan and Belarus with contributions of 820.5 million soms and 371.3 million soms, respectively.
Kyrgyzstan received the least from Armenia - 152.3 million soms.
