In the first 11 months of 2025, the volume of oil transited from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) route amounted to over 3.7 million tons. According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, this represents almost 15% of all oil transited via this pipeline, Orient.tm reports.
From January to November, Azerbaijani pipelines transported over 33.4 million tons of crude oil. The main flow goes via the BTC, a strategic 1,768-kilometer pipeline. The pipeline connects the Caspian region with the Mediterranean Sea, providing access to global markets via the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
This growth in transit confirms Baku's role as a key logistics hub for Central Asian energy resources. For the region, this means stable export routes and the development of economic cooperation between the Caspian countries.
