Chairman of the Social Fund of Kyrgyzstan Baktiyar Aliyev said that the Fund is making efforts to fulfill the constitutional requirement that the minimum pension be no less than the subsistence level. He said this at a meeting of the Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, reports the Akchabar portal.
Aliyev recalled that since October this year, pensions have been increased by 33%, and said that a further increase in pensions is planned for next year.
As of October 1, 2022, the number of recipients of pensions in the republic amounted to 735.9 thousand people. They spent 5 billion 795.3 million soms on payments in October.
The total expenditures of the budget of the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic for nine months amounted to 49 billion 676.4 million soms. Relative to the same period in 2021, budget expenditures increased by 5 billion 181 million soms, or by 111.6%.
