The authorities of Kazakhstan will take all measures to ensure the safety of Russian investments, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during a video address to the participants of the forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in Orenburg, TASS reports.
"Russian investments in Kazakhstan are only growing every year. And we will do everything possible to ensure the safety of Russian investments and attract them as much as possible to our economy," Tokayev said.
He noted that Kazakhstan and Russia should also accelerate the modernization of supply chains.
“The inflow of direct investment from Russia to Kazakhstan last year bypassed the pre-pandemic level by more than a third and exceeded $1.9 billion. At the same time, investments from Kazakhstan to Russia grew by 34%, reaching $535 million. At the same time, there is significant potential for strengthening trade and economic cooperation between our countries. One of the areas in which we are particularly interested is cooperative cooperation," the President of Kazakhstan explained.
