Tajikistan and Kazakhstan to jointly mine uranium and rare metals

The companies "Tajik Rare Metals" (Tajikistan) and "Kazatomprom" (Kazakhstan) have signed a memorandum of understanding, reports the press service of "Kazatomprom."

The companies will jointly develop and implement various projects. These include the exploration, extraction, and processing of uranium and other rare earth metals, as well as conducting scientific research, experimental design work, implementing innovative technologies, and training specialists.

"Although it is too early to talk about specific results, we are focused on promising joint projects in the uranium sector, as well as in rare and rare earth metals, which could bring significant benefits to both Kazakhstan and Tajikistan," said Meirzhan Yusupov, Chairman of the Board of "Kazatomprom."

Representatives of the company "TajRedMet" will soon arrive in Kazakhstan to inspect "Kazatomprom's" production facilities and more thoroughly assess the possibilities for future cooperation.
