Tajikistan outlined strategy for managing public debt

The Medium-Term Public Debt Management Strategy for 2024-2026 was discussed at a meeting of the Tajikistan government with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon, Sputnik reports.

The Minister of Finance of Tajikistan, Fayziddin Kakhhorzoda, delivered a report on this topic. It was emphasized that the main goal of this strategy is to meet the government's financing needs by attracting credit funds.

The discussion explored ways with the least cost in the medium and long term with a reasonable degree of risk, as well as the organization and maintenance of the functional support of the securities market.

After reviewing the strategy, President Rahmon instructed to approve this document, and the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan was tasked, in collaboration with the relevant ministries and departments, to take necessary measures for its implementation.

During the government meeting, the State Program for the Development of Theatrical Arts in Tajikistan for 2024-2028 and the Government's Work Plan for the first half of 2024 were also heard.

Discussions during the session covered issues related to the development of cotton and textile industries, as well as the planning of foreign capital imports into the country's economy.

The Committee for Environmental Protection, the Forestry Agency, regional, urban, and district authorities were assigned to ensure environmental cleanliness standards for streets and residential areas, environmental protection, and territory improvement.

The department's specialists were tasked with planting trees along roadsides on both sides, adhering to the technology of cultivating decorative and shade plants.
