Turkmen Delegation Strengthens Humanitarian Ties with Qatar

A Turkmen delegation led by Oguldzhakhan Atabaeva, Vice President of the Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov Children’s Charity Foundation, visited Qatar to expand humanitarian and social cooperation. The visit included participation in the Doha Forum, where Atabaeva emphasized that child welfare remains a key priority of Turkmenistan’s state policy, reports Orient.tm.

In Doha, the delegation held a series of meetings with Qatari officials, discussing child protection, the development of inclusive environments, educational exchange, and family support. Qatari counterparts praised the work of the Turkmen Foundation and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation.

Atabaeva also delivered official invitations to an international conference on the role of women, scheduled for December 10 in Avaza. The Turkmen side presented information on the Foundation’s international humanitarian projects, which over four years have assisted children affected by disasters in Turkey, Russia, Afghanistan, Palestine, Tajikistan, and other countries.

The visit, which included stops at the Museum of Islamic Art and Sidra Medical Center, marked a significant step in strengthening bilateral humanitarian cooperation.
