Korean companies are interested in implementing projects in the gas sector in Turkmenistan, Lee Dal-Gon, head of the Korea-Turkmenistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, said at a meeting with Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
“Turkmenistan is a country with colossal reserves of natural gas. In this regard, Korean companies are interested in implementing projects in this area,” said Lee Dal-Gon.
Issues of Turkmen-Korean cooperation in the gas industry were discussed in detail on the same day at a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the fuel and energy complex.
During the talks, special attention was paid to the introduction of advanced experience and high technologies in the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan, the latest scientific and technical developments, as well as mutually beneficial partnerships with leading foreign companies, including Korean ones, the report says.
