Turkmenistan and Türkiye held political consultations in Ankara

Political consultations were held in Ankara between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey. The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, and the Turkish delegation was led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of interstate relations, which are dynamically developing thanks to the efforts of the leaders of the two countries. They discussed issues of further development of political and diplomatic ties, the expansion of interparliamentary cooperation, and the strengthening of the legal framework. Special attention was given to the planned visits and meetings this year.

The parties also considered issues of economic cooperation, including interaction in the fields of energy and transport, as well as cultural dialogue, with a focus on science, education, sports, and healthcare. As part of the visit, the Turkmen delegation paid tribute to Magtymguly Pyragy by laying flowers at his monument in the 'Turkmenistan' park in Ankara.
