The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has outlined the country's priorities for the upcoming 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Turkmenistan emphasizes the need to give the activities of the UN a distinct regional context in order to achieve comprehensive and universal security.

In this regard, Turkmenistan proposes the initiation of an inclusive, comprehensive, and systematic dialogue between Central Asia and the UN, stating, "We believe it is time to launch an inclusive, full-format, and systematic dialogue between Central Asia and the UN."

The country also proposes the creation of a United Nations-backed Conference on Security in Central Asia and its neighboring areas. The aim of this conference would be to develop approaches and solutions that bring together the efforts of Central Asian countries, the global community, international organizations, financial and economic institutions, towards ensuring sustainable and conflict-free development in the region.

Ashgabat expresses its readiness to host the first Conference in 2024.
