Uzbekistan and the United States intend to explore new forms of cooperation in utilizing the Trans-Caspian corridor, which connects China, the South Caucasus countries, and Europe, according to the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Transport.

These matters were discussed in Tashkent by representatives of the Uzbek Ministry of Transport, the American agency USAID, and the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, as stated in the announcement.

"The parties discussed the possibilities of developing intermodal and multimodal cross-border and transit transportation services between Central Asia and the European Union, as well as creating new forms of interaction along the Trans-Caspian corridor," explains the Ministry of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, participants emphasized the crucial role of this transport corridor in the development of international trade between Europe and Asia.

The utilization of the potential of the Trans-Caspian transport corridor was emphasized by Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Central Asia - EU Summit in Cholpon-Ata.

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route passes through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, the Black Sea, and further into European countries.

Uzbekistan is actively developing the Trans-Caspian corridor and is already constructing its own port terminal in Baku. Among Uzbekistan's plans is the establishment of its cargo fleet on the Caspian Sea.
