Russia remains the leader with 39 airlines and 748 aircraft.

Kazakhstan ranks third by the number of carriers (10 airlines) but surpasses Uzbekistan in total aircraft, operating 98 planes.

Uzbekistan’s Aviation Sector on the Rise

Uzbekistan is demonstrating dynamic development in civil aviation. In 2024 alone, three new airlines were launched, indicating favorable conditions for investment and entrepreneurship in the sector.

Notably, Silkavia, one of the country’s carriers, operates the youngest fleet in the CIS, with an average aircraft age of just four years.

International Cooperation and Future Prospects

Uzbekistan is actively expanding its international aviation partnerships. Uzbekistan Airways continues to broaden its flight network, including new destinations across Europe, Asia, and North America.

In 2025, plans include increasing flight frequencies and modernizing the aircraft fleet, which is expected to enhance passenger service and strengthen the country’s position in the global aviation market.
