The Central Bank of Uzbekistan sold 11 tons of the precious metal, becoming the largest net seller for the second month in a row, Kun.uz reports.
In general, global central banks purchased 35 tons of gold in March and sold 18 tons, making net purchases of 17 tons. After Uzbekistan, the largest sellers were Singapore (-5 tons) and Kyrgyzstan (-2 tons).
The largest purchases were made by Poland (+16 tons), Kazakhstan (+11), China (+3), the Czech Republic (+2) and Turkey (+1 ton).
In the first quarter of 2025, Uzbekistan sold 15 tons of gold, maintaining its status as the largest net seller for this period.
