Enterprises of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan "will be able to increase the additional volume of non-commodity exports to Tajikistan in the amount of more than $170 million," said Ayan Yerenov, Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan, Kazinform reports.

“In 2021, during the trade mission, we signed five export agreements worth more than $80 million, last year we already signed six documents worth $100 million. This year we will also hold a trade mission, where our target indicator is $120 million.” , said Ayan Yerenov, speaking at the Kazakh-Tajik business forum in Astana.

He stressed that Tajikistan, being a country with a dynamically developing economy, has great prospects for developing cooperation with Kazakhstan, especially in the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

“According to a preliminary analysis, our enterprises will be able to increase the additional volume of non-primary exports to Tajikistan in the amount of more than $170 million. The fact that the vice-premiers are telling us the amount of two billion dollars, I think that we will achieve it within the next two years. From the implementation of individual projects, we have already moved to a systemic partnership in the economy. This is evidenced by the agreements signed today in the amount of more than one billion US dollars. We have signed a concept with our colleagues to establish a joint venture in Tajikistan. This enterprise will assist businessmen of the two sides in the development of mutual trade, as well as in the development of trade with third countries,” Ayan Yerenov summed up.

Earlier it was reported that businessmen from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan signed contracts for $1 billion 300 million.
