Kazakhstan became the second largest trading partner of Tajikistan, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of Tajikistan reported.

The increase in export-import indicators was discussed at a meeting of the heads of the ministries of economy of the two countries Zavka Zavkizoda and Alibek Kuantirov in Astana, Sputnik reports.

The ministers noted that in 2022, the trade turnover between the countries increased by 22.3% and exceeded $1.441 billion.
The parties agreed to take additional measures to increase the export of fruits and vegetables, as well as the implementation of investment projects.

Along with this, representatives of Kazakhstan were invited to participate in the economic forum of the countries of Central Asia, which will be held on September 14-15 in Dushanbe as part of the summit of the heads of state of Central Asia.
