Kazakhstan will ban the export of certain petroleum products outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) starting from March 15, 2025, Vesti.az reports.

A joint order issued by the Ministry of Energy, the National Security Committee, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan states that the restrictions will remain in effect until June 30, 2025.

The ban applies to aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, light distillates, gasoils, toluene, xylene, and petroleum bitumen. Gasoline exports are also prohibited.

It is noted that the decision to impose the ban was made to ensure stability in the domestic market and to prevent potential fuel shortages.
