The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan plans to focus on developing the processing sector, constructing trade and logistics centers (TLCs), and launching modern storage warehouses, Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev announced, Economist.kg reports.

According to Torobaev, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has allocated $40 million for these initiatives.

“The funds will be used for the construction of trade and logistics centers. Financing will be provided through the state-owned ‘Aiyl Bank.’ It is crucial for agricultural producers to have access to refrigeration facilities and storage points,” Torobaev emphasized.

On January 1, 2025, Kyrgyzstan launched the "Support for United Producers" project, aimed at increasing agricultural production volumes and promoting profitable crop varieties.
