The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in various economic sectors with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Kyrgyzstan, Nicholas Bowler, 24.kg reports.
The main focus of the meeting was on developing partnerships in the economic, banking, investment, industrial, and mining sectors. Adylbek Kasymaliev highlighted the active progress in cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United Kingdom, expressing satisfaction with the achievements so far.
One specific example of fruitful collaboration is the announcement of a joint project to construct a plant in Kyrgyzstan for producing flexible concrete mats, CONCRETE CANVAS. Kasymaliev emphasized that this project illustrates both countries' commitment to innovation and the application of modern technologies.
He also noted productive cooperation with the international consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in developing Kyrgyzstan's National Development Program until 2030 and a strategy for the development of the critical minerals sector. This collaboration, he stated, plays a key role in defining the country's development priorities and attracting investments.
In response, Nicholas Bowler expressed the UK’s interest in further strengthening bilateral relations and confirmed the embassy's readiness to provide comprehensive support for the implementation of planned projects. He underscored the UK’s commitment to developing a long-term partnership with Kyrgyzstan.
