The results of the socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024 generally showed continued intensive economic growth in the country, maintaining the trend that began in 2022-2023, according to information from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, reports Economist.kg.
According to a preliminary estimate by the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the country's gross domestic product (GDP) for January-December 2024 amounted to 1,523.2 billion soms ($17.5 billion), with a real growth rate of 109.0% (the same as in 2023 – 109.0%).
All economic sectors demonstrated positive dynamics, with the following growth rates: construction increased by 18.0%, services by 9.3%, industry by 5.6%, and agriculture by 6.3%.
The strong performance across economic sectors was driven by the expansion of domestic production, growth in exports and investments. Additionally, the government's focus on stimulating economic activity, supporting strategic industries, modernizing infrastructure, improving the investment climate and competitive environment, and implementing public administration reforms contributed to these results.
Meanwhile, the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reports that in 2024, the country’s consolidated budget amounted to 686.9 billion soms ($7.9 billion), with a surplus of 84.8 billion soms ($974 million).
GDP per capita reached $2,400.
