Kyrgyzstan will launch 100 industrial facilities annually to ensure steady economic growth, said Japarov at a ceremonial event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Kyrgyz government’s press service reports.
Achieving these ambitious goals requires an innovative approach, technological literacy, and engineering mindset.
Success in Foreign Trade and GDP Growth
Japarov highlighted the growth of service exports as a key indicator of Kyrgyzstan’s success, emphasizing that the country is steadily entering international markets.
In 2023, the volume of foreign trade in services reached nearly $5.4 billion, doubling compared to the previous year.
Additionally, Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan is gradually becoming a major transportation hub connecting countries and continents. He cited the GDP growth, which exceeded 1.2 trillion soms ($13.79 billion) in 2023, with an expected increase to 1.5 trillion soms ($17.24 billion) in 2024.
The country’s budget has tripled over the past three years, marking a significant achievement.
International Rankings and Future Development
The prime minister also pointed out the high international ratings the country has received. According to research by the International Republican Institute, 82% of Kyrgyz citizens support the president's course.
Kyrgyzstan ranked among the top 30 countries globally in GDP growth and improved its position in the Global Peace Index from 101st to 77th place. These achievements reflect the strengthening of national security and stability.
Japarov expressed confidence that by 2030, new mechanisms for managing state assets will be introduced, and significant investments will be attracted through modern platforms.
According to World Bank forecasts, Kyrgyzstan could transition to the category of upper-middle-income countries, with GDP reaching $30 billion.
He emphasized that the average annual economic growth rate over the past three years has been 7.5%, with growth expected to reach 8.4% in 2024.
In his view, Kyrgyzstan could reach the level of Asia's economic "tigers" and double its economy within five years.
“We have chosen the snow leopard as a symbol of our development. The leopard sees its goal clearly, acts with focus and grace. This image represents our country’s vision for the future—bold, confident, and determined,” concluded Japarov.
