Over the six months of 2024, 3,400 citizens of Tajikistan were expelled or deported from Russia. Director of the Civil Aviation Agency Habibullo Nazarzoda announced this at a press conference in Dushanbe, Asiaplus.tj reports.
He emphasized that the main reason for such actions was errors in the documents of citizens of the republic, and noted that “there is no political motive.”
“The reason for denial of entry into Russian territory in some cases was the lack of necessary documents. In other cases: who they are going to is unknown, the place of work is unknown. 95% of people who travel know where they are going and why they are going, but they cannot answer questions and do not know what to answer. Some may be confused when asked questions. That’s the whole reason, it’s not political.”
After the terrorist attack in Moscow's Crocus City Hall, in which citizens of Tajikistan are suspected of committing, conditions have been tightened, both for migrants already in Russia and for those who are planning to go there.
Complaints from Tajik immigrants about difficulties entering Russia have become more frequent. Dozens of migrants have complained that they are being detained at Russian airports and land border crossings under various pretexts.
In particular, migrants who were not allowed into Russia spoke about this.
Officially, neither the Tajik nor the Russian side speaks about the reasons for the ban on entry into Russia.
