Representatives of the Communist Party of China, led by Chen Gan, a member of its Central Committee, held a meeting with officials from the Democratic Party, Agrarian Party, and Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat, the official press of Turkmenistan reports.
The parties highlighted the important role of political parties in developing interstate cooperation and understanding between the peoples of the countries. The role of inter-party interaction in promoting economic and humanitarian partnership was particularly emphasized. The guests acquainted Turkmen party circles with the outcomes of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
As the Secretary of the CPC Committee of Shandong Province, Chen Gan presented a video about the achievements of the Chinese region and the country as a whole.
As part of the cultural program during their visit to Turkmenistan, members of the Chinese Communist Party visited the State Cultural Center Museum, the International Equestrian Complex, the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet, and the city of Arkadag.
During the visit to Turkmenistan, Chen Gan also met with the head of Turkmenistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov.
